Chocolate Truffles

Assalamu alaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuhu!

This recipe is for Chocolate Truffles. They are simply a cooled chocolate ganache, and can be personalised any way you like with toppings and flavourings. These are great to give as gifts or to enjoy at any special occasion. I made them for the recent Muslim celebration of Eid-ul-Adha.

A Simple List of Ingredients:

1. Milk Chocolate
2. Plain Chocolate
3. White Chocolate
4. Double Cream
5. Any Decorations and Flavourings

Bismillah, let's make some truffles!

For the milk chocolate truffles, I like to use a mixture of both milk and plain chocolate. So, in a heatproof bowl, place five ounces milk chocolate, and five ounces plain chocolate.
Cut the chocolate into small pieces with a sharp knife.

Next, pour 10 fluid ounces double cream into a small saucepan.

Place the pan on a gentle heat, and gently bring to the boil, stirring constantly.

As soon as the cream starts to boil, pour it straight onto the chocolate. Allow it to sit for a few minutes, and then stir well until all the chocolate is melted.

Place the mixture in the fridge to set for a few hours.

You can add any flavourings to the mixture now before cooling. I added some grated orange zest.

For white chocolate truffles, use the same method but take ten ounces white chocolate pieces, and five fluid ounces double cream.

Once the mixtures have cooled and firmed, roll into little balls.

Time to decorate! I used ...

Chocolate Biscuit Balls

Dark Chocolate Sprinkles

Flaked Almonds

Sprinkles

Dessicated Coconut

Place each truffle into a mini cupcake case or a truffle case, give as a gift or enjoy for yourself!

Wasalaam!
