Chicken Twister Wraps

Assalamu alaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuhu!

This recipe is for Chicken Twister Wraps. The chicken goujons themselves are so delicious, they can be eaten just like that. But put them into a wrap with sauces and salad, serve with fries and you have a meal that is so simple to put together but the end result is scrumptious.

A Simple List of Ingredients:

1. Chicken Strips
2. Salt and Pepper
3. Paprika
4. Hot Chilli Sauce
5. Sweet Chilli Sauce
6. Plain Flour
7. Baking Powder
8. White Pepper
9. Water
10. Breadcrumbs
11. Tortilla Wraps
12. Salad
13. Sauces

Bismillah, let's begin!

Take 1 and 1/2 pound chicken breast and slice into strips.

Add 1 teaspoon salt and 1/2 teaspoon black pepper.

Add 1 teaspoon paprika ..

2 tablespoons hot chilli sauce

1 tablespoon sweet chilli sauce.

Mix until the chicken is well coated, then cover and allow to marinade for 10 minutes.

Next, to make the batter, place 4 tablespoons plain flour into a mixing bowl.

Add 1/2 teaspoon baking powder.

1/2 teaspoon white pepper

1 teaspoon paprika

1/2 teaspoon salt

Mix well.

1 tablespoon hot chilli sauce

Add enough water ...

... to form a batter. The batter should not be too thick but not too runny either.

Pour the batter onto the marinaded chicken, and stir to combine.

Next, take some breadcrumbs, and dip each piece of chicken in the breadcrumbs.

Heat a few tablespoons vegetable oil until hot, and fry the chicken until golden brown and fully cooked through.

To assemble the wrap, take a tortilla wrap.

Spread on the sauces of your choice. I used a mixture of ketchup, chilli sauce and mayonnaise.

Add the salad of your choice - I used some cucumber and tomato.

Add a few pieces of the chicken.

Wrap and serve! I wrapped some foil at the bottom so nothing would fall out. These wraps were amazing and so juicy - serve with fries, sauces, more salad and an iced drink!

Wasalaam!
